Jon Hooker – Private Drum Tuition Birmingham Drums Teacher
Jon Hooker – Private Drum Tuition is a Drums tutor based in Birmingham
Jon has played the drums since the age of 13 and has a wide and varied experience within the music industry ranging from teaching to performing.
In 2008 he graduated from The Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford, where he obtained an Honours degree in Contemporary Popular Music. This course ranged from music business to music performance, and Jon was lucky enough to have been taught by some of the most respected tutors in the drumming industry, as well as having masterclasses from drummers such as Chad Smith (Red Hot Chilli Peppers), Marc Richardson (Feeder), John Blackwell (Prince, Justin Timberlake) and Jamiroquai’s band.
Having being taught in many different styles of music he has adapted these teachings into his unique style and technique, which is now displayed in Birmingham based Indie/Blues band Blue Nation. He has been with the band for around 4 years now and performed extensively around the UK, as well as just releasing the band’s debut album ”Cross The Line & Decide”.
