Meet Elvin. Elvin is Stanton Moore’s trusty pug dog named for legendary jazz drummer, Elvin Jones. Recently, DW were trying to think of a way to describe how incredibly lightweight their new 6000 Series Ultralight hardware is. Sure, they could just tell you it weighs in at a mere 19 pounds, but how do you describe 19 pounds?
That’s right.
DW’s 6000 Series Ultralight hardware only weighs as much as this adorable pug.
How did DW do it? How did they deliver sturdy, reliable hardware that only weighs as much as Elvin? Good question. To create a scaled-down version of the popular line-up of 6000 Series retro-styled, flush-base hardware, we redesigned the 6000 Series Ultralight stands with smaller diameter, lighter gauge steel tubing and a low mass tube joint for optimal portability.
Ultralight hardware is perfect for bop kits, vintage sets and gigging drummers everywhere. Just pack it up in a case, throw it over your shoulder and go. (*Elvin not included)
