Trio combination kit set for debut.

British drum manufacturer, Liberty Drums, is readying the launch of its new Olive, Birch, Cherry kit. The kit’s trio combination of Olivewood, Birch and Cherry has been engineered to offer a deep, rich tone, while the shell structure is bolstered and tone clarity enhanced with the use of birch in the inner layers. Olivewood provides the finishing touch with eye-catching grain features.

Available in a three or four-piece shell pack, the kit is comprised of:

13” x 9” tom (5mm shell, 2 ply cherry, 6 ply birch, 1 ply olive outer)

16” x 16” floor tom (5mm shell, 2 ply cherry, 6 ply birch, 1 ply olive outer)

22” x 14” bass drum (8mm, 2 ply cherry, 9 ply birch, 1 ply olive outer)

14”x 5.5” snare drum (8mm shell, 2 ply cherry, 9 ply birch, 1 ply olive outer)

Each shell consists of 0.5mm thin Olivewood/Birch/Cherry wood veneers, cut and hand pressed to Liberty’s own specification in its UK factory. Each ply consists of raw bundles of wood veneer, cut and pressed into two and three ply sections. These are then layered in the moulds to make up the required ply count and thickness before being finished with an olive outer veneer and gloss lacquer finish.
