Simon Gilson – Co-Owner Of PMT Calls Amazon ‘Sharks’.
My Drum Lessons attended the MIRC Conference and Expo today. The main guest speaker was Simon Gilson who is the co-owner of retail giant PMT. Never one to mince his words he started off his speech with backing music to Dads Army and had a Hitler mustache on emulating the Nazi lead!
His main point in Simon’s presentation was to highlight the fact that Amazon.com, Ebay.com and Alababa.com where all sharks eating the little guys in the music high street industry. He told us that buying an instrument was more than just a purchase. It should be an experience and the added value of a music shop was being undermined by these internet giants.
We hope to have the video of his talk available on www.MyGuitarLessons.co.uk very soon, so log on and see it all. See more of our retail package HERE.
