Drum cases for drummers for over 20 years.

2014 marks the 20th anniversary of Protection Racket’s multi-award winning drum cases, which all started from the company’s humble beginnings as a surfboard case maker. Started in Cornwall, United Kingdom by Dean Bowdery and Nick Nethercot, the company’s early days saw them making surfboard & windsurfing board bags for surfers. But, being keen musicians, they soon moved into the music world. Protection Racket has become a leading brand in soft cases for drummers, with a road-tested range that offers effortless transportation & maximum protection.

They now sell to over 28 countries and  has legions of drum fans worldwide. Many Protection Racket endorsees have been with them since their beginnings, including the highly regarded Steve White (Paul Weller / Style Council) and the in demand clinician, Craig Blundell (Frost). Their extensive list of endorsees also includes drummers such as Nick Mason (Pink Floyd), Ian Paice (Deep Purple), Peter Erskine (Weather Report), Sheila E (Prince), Roger Taylor (Queen), Ray Luzier (Korn), Abe Laboriel Jnr (Paul McCartney), Ronnie Vannucci (The Killers), Keith Carlock (Steely Dan/Sting) and many more.

Dean Bowdery commenting on the anniversary said, “We Are Family; Protection Racket would like to take this opportunity to thank every customer, dealer, distributor and artist who have supported us down the years.”
