Yamaha Attracts the Crowds at the London Drum Show 2013
The sold out London Drum Show took place on 12th -13th October at the famous Olympia venue in West Kensington, Central London.
Thousands of people attended over the two days with the opportunity to see and try many new products along with the opportunity to witness master class and performances from some of the world’s greatest drummers.
Yamaha was ever present at the show. Our impressive stand certainly pulled in the crowds with highlights being the new Live Custom Series, the new DTX502 Series along with an impressive PHX kit display worth over £12,000. Also on display was Yamaha first ‘D20’ drum set made in 1967 highlighting Yamaha’s ground breaking original Diagonal Seam and Air Seal system for our shells.
Legendary Yamaha artist Dave Weckl was also a highlight of the show as he attended as part of his European tour celebrating 30 years with Yamaha. Dave held a signing session that drew in many passionate fans where he took time out for photo’s and questions from fans. The Show was topped off with a performance from Dave Weckl on his PHX set, to a sold out Theatre of 450 people.
