Sarah Jones on the Roland BT-1 and her hybrid drum setup
Sarah Jones (Bat for Lashes, Hot Chip) took time out to tell Roland how she uses the Roland BT-1 Trigger pad in her acoustic set up.
The adding of electronics into acoustic drum setups isn’t quite as new as you may think, many tub thumpers have been creating and layering new sounds for a while now. Adding electronics such as the Roland SPD-SX or BT-1 Trigger Bar gives you the flexibility to expand and create a host of “new sounds” from your kit, taking your playing to a new level.
Check out how easy the BT-1 trigger Bar is to use, setup and add to your kit and of course how Sarah Jones uses hers.
Also – take a look at the Roland Hybrid Tour – where you can join our professional drummer Craig Blundell and a host of others on location on a tour across the UK. Craig will be showcasing how to setup the ideal Hybrid Drumkit and what can work for you and your style.
